Where can I get Worms for Android on my Samsung Galaxy S? The Android Market doesn't show Worms on my phone, but does when I browse on pc.

Says "this app cannot be installed to your device's country". WTF ?

Every app has to explicitly be set up for distribution to every individual region by its developer. With South Africa being a new addition to the list of markets where paid apps are available, this hasn't yet been done for many, many paid apps. Heck, I don't think CoPilot satnav for SA is even available for purchase in SA yet.

This leaves you with 2 options:
1. Pirate it. Which you obviously really shouldn't do. Hence, you shouldn't use google to look up either the IPMart forum, or the mobilism forum where you might find it.
2. Contact EA Mobile and ask them to get their thumbs out of their collective naughts and fix their games' distribution settings.

Oh well, i'm buggered then. Thanks for the reply ;)

Problem is EA obide by SA laws as they have local offices.

So you wont see the game till its rated by FPB

On that note I just bought Dungeon Hunter 2 from gameloft.... 760 Mb later.... HOLY COW I never knew you could get this type of FX on a phone!!!

Will up some screenshots later...

Why don't they sommer port Dungeon Hunter to PC or linux, will give me another Diablo Clone to ease the wait till D3 gets released, those screenshots look pretty cool...

Ok youwave SUCKS

It does allow you to run many Android apps like EA Worms and does have 3D and Network support, so it does support some games, but the problem is 2 fold

Trying to get apps onto it is a pain if you dont use included app store and it does not allow you to go full screen as it has a side panel that is filled with adds and crap.

Don't even bother installing it. It even leaves a bad taste, as it feels like Android in the yesteryear, so not worth it even to people that want to see how Android looks like.

Hopefully the next release will be better

Elimentals,

Sorry for your experience on using the current YouWave version. We are improving the product's user experience. In our next release 2.0.0, together with some features, we will provide the ability to hide the side panel which bothers someone. We may or may not provide the full screen support though.

The side panel is experimental, with the purpose to show some information to the users and to provide app downloading ability. We had thought some info would be useful. As a matter of fact, it has been clear to us only recently that many users may not like the panel. It is a lesson learned for us. By the way, currently there is no ads in the panel.

Regarding the inconvenience of importing apps, again it is an issue of interface design. We have all the tools and technologies in place. It is just that we need to think hard on how users will interact with the product to smoothly use it.

I hope that I will have the privilege to invite you to try it again once we release version 2.0.0,

Thanks for your critical comments, which helped us. You basically reminded me how important user experience is for a consumer product.

@YouWave: You seriously need a more professional looking website if you are to be taken seriously... Horizontal scrollbars just don't cut it these days. ;)

Thanx for responding and if you ever come back to see this I was referring to the Google search the app does automatically when you click on anything in the side panel, and based on what the apps name was you seem to get some odd results popping up. See Red circle below

I will keep my eye on the project as it has some potential and as a developer did find that the 3D acceleration was better than most Emulators.

As it is now I wont recommend it to end users.

I must say that our auto-search function was implemented without much thought about content relevancy and users' reaction. Well, it was done somewhat for demonstration of the technical aspect of the software. YouWave was originated from a side tech project. In new releases, the auto-search function will be removed if we cannot find meaningful use of it.

We have a new website under work. Very soon we will have a new face.

I got worms on my Wildfire, it starts up but all you see is the floating Worms splash. Try get Wormux I think its still in development but it works quite well.

FYI for some updates.

1. Our youwave website has been updated with a new look.
2. We have turned off those google searches, mainly because of your feedback. Now even using existing software, you won't see those probably annoying search results.

Welcome more feedback. Also as mentioned before, we are working on a major upgrade of the software.

Thanks.
