Hi

From what I've come to understand from OpenServe you really are just getting the benefits of fiber technology itself since at the end of the day you are ending up where everyone else is that uses adsl.
I noticed that my 20Mbit VDSL compared to my friends 20Mbit OpenServe fiber he can stream more demanding video (Plex was used for the test) that I cannot (With same ISP).

So the question comes down to if you are happy with your current ISP and are just wanting to move over the the benefits the come with fiber is there any point at all in switching ISP's ?

Thanks in advance

VDSL (as ADSL) goes over copper
Fibre does not go over copper

VDSL (ADSL) is crap compared to the quality you get on Fibre

ISP's also "pool" their bandwidth, and have seperate pools between fibre and ADSL (or VDSL) as the requirements for the network/infrastructure etc is slightly different.

No. It's not worth changing ISP if you go fibre. Especially if the same ISP has proven good quality on fibre.

Thanks for that

I'm currently with Axxess , I like their rollover on capped accounts, being unshaped, pricing and management console so I'd like to stick with them.
