Hi there

I was wondering if it will be worth upgrading my cpu cooler to a h100 cause this cooler is a bit big but to justify the R1k for the h100 will it be worth it or not.

Thanks

You don't exactly say why you want to upgrade your cooler...

The H100 is pretty awesome and it cools really well, but to shell out R1000 being worthwhile all comes down to whether it can be justified by your needs.

I've run my 2500k at 4.95GHz on the H60 and it was perfectly stable at around 60C under load.

Have you checked whether it will fit in your chassis? Not all 120x2 slots at the top are big enough to fit the H100 (specially in terms of height).

when I play demanding games my highest cpu temps will be 65C. that's with battlefield 3, black ops 2, far cry 3, etc on prim95 it can go as high as 70C

70'C is still pretty low. So unless you want to overclock further and keep your temperatures below 75'C, I don't really see a point in upgrading from the Thermalright Silver Arrow. The Silver Arrow is already an excellent cooler.

My i7 920 @ 3.8GHz (Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme) is hitting 85'C when I play games in the summer, just due to the ambient/room temperature being 30'C, but its only hitting that because of my graphics cards that are also hitting those kind of temperatures.
When I only stress my CPU, it does not exceed 65'C.

OK cool I will not upgrade and add that money to my saving for when i want to upgrade my pc again
