Worth waiting for new iPhone release?

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has any opinion whether it is worth waiting for the next iPhone release due in a couple of weeks? I'm due for an upgrade and looking at iPhone 6 on Vodacom - how quickly does the prices normally drop once the new version is released? I'm not necessarily fussed about getting the latest version, but don't want to get the iPhone 6 just to find the contract prices drop 2 weeks later

Local Apple prices never drop and the new phones will probably only arrive here early next year. But then again, what is a couple months wait compared to a two year contract.

It will probably launch here late November or early December, as said above local prices only drop after three years, there's a thread about 5S price drop in 2015

Thanks for the input! You asked why not wait? I currently have Samsung S4. Every day I am stuck with the phone people's lives are at risk because at some point I *will* throw it out the window or off a tower at high velocity and someone might end up getting hurt!!

The announcement is next week so just wait for that at least.

Then you'll know if it's worth waiting for or not.


It's often worth waiting for...just so the good deals come along and getting the older one.

Please point me to a decent one. I have tried loads recently and they are all unstable and slow.
