o your test server copy is a clone right? you still keep your original character on the live servers? didn't really understand if he was addressing the 2 way transfer. i don't understand what all this WOTLK talk is, i could never go back to WOW.

repairing gear is dumb

food and water is dumb

the ridiculous cost for mounts is dumb

instance PVP is fake, pointless and dumb (except in war i get renoun and XP )

i know WOTLK has new siege area, who cares they should have had them 3 years ago, in war it fully implemented, not an addon, dumb. probably have to have a high level toon to enter them.

the characters in WOW and art style looks really dumb compared to WAR.

my rant is...dumb
sorry , just getting sick of the WOTLK talk. so many things in WAR made me realize a lot of aspects in WOW are just there to make you spend more time on farming and making money (basically to keep you in subscription longer. they are task are chores rather than fun)
I kinda feel same as this dude about all the WOTLK talk but ill still check it out next year maybe just feels weird to play on those old toons even walking in WOW feels funny after WAR.
And i have to see WAR end game content for myself jeez better stop alts and lvl my main.

My attitude towards all the ridiculous hype is just..... apathy. After tooling around in other mmo's now, all the glistening 'amazingness' of WoW starts to...well... tarnish. I see people 'preparing' for an expansion farming gold and I have to just laugh at it. It's a game. Working your ass off to 'prepare' for an expansion? Brain goes 'wtf?!?!'.
Some WoW fans are so...indoctrinated. As one of them, once, I think I now understand how it must feel to be, say, an ANC supporter. Okay maybe that's a bit of a stretch/flame ;) . I mean I probably will play Wrath of the Lich King again, for a bit of casual fun on the side. But yeah, once you've played some other mmo's, you kinda reevaluate why you're doing it in the first place.
Is it to have a second job? Or have fun?

Much iof the problem with WoW is actually how 'exhausted' all the options are. There used to be a time where if you had ful lfirst aid or fishing or cooking, it was something special. Now it's 'expected'. I see these guys running around in Tier6 and Season4 everywhere, and all the magic is gone. Everyone is a superhero. And when everyone is, no-one is. Yes Wrath will reset much, and introduce much, but people are already approaching the expansion as a 'race' to max-out level, tradeskill and grab the top-end gear before it's even out and I realise the magic of jsut being able to discover something for yourself is, irretrievably, gone forever. No matter how many expansion they release. Everything will be devoured relentlessly by the legion of ravenous termites that is the WoW fanbase.

I mean i walked into Org yesterday to experience the Scourge event, and thanks to just reading a lousy blog (wowinsider) I knew exactly what to expect. Afterwards I was like, "...That was it? Am i the only one impressed?"

Far as i can see most WOW player that like WOW more than WAr jumped the ship already when the new talents and patch came in.
The classes are already set all the nice new talents have been played with by all only thing WOTLK overs them is 10 more talent piont for another tree and new content.

I was thinking of jumping on the WOTLK ship other day logged into WOW played my Druid in BG and done few daylies everything looked and feeled crap i just feel alot better when i pawn something in WAR.

Just take screen shots of a WAR dwarf vs a WOW dwarf and compare.
Nothing like a tank and a healer in WAR you really feel like you can stand long.
And Keep sieges is really something wow should have done long time ago.

Oh make no mistake, more will 'bleed out'. Many more. Tons of people are just playing WAR for something to do till the expansion to WoW arrives.

On the positive side, eventually it'll mean that the playerbase playing WAR for the right reasons, will stabilise. And i totally forsee a large swath of WAR returnees once WoW players ding 80, experience *all* the endgame content the game has to offer within 3 to 6 months (lol 10man raiding) and get bored of so much more of the same. Maybe. We'll see.

Its gone take some time for me to get tired of keep sieges the server i am on one side never holds a keep for long and open rvr hapening alot.
Dont wana see what gone happen today cause of patch 1.04 you get more loot for a siege :).

Mythic is being quite sneaky. Soon after Wrath, they'll be launching Heavy Metal and the 1.1 patch which will introduce 2 'new' classes. It looks like their plan is to keep pace and even 'one better' WoW. WotLK introduces 1 new class? They patch in 2.

And I hope they inject more PvE content because, like I blogged here (/selfpimp, heh), that which currently exists is pretty damn awesome. People are leaving this game without having experienced much, if any, of what WAR actually has to offer, of the whole gamut. They hop into some scenario and think, 'that's it? meh.'And that's a bit of a tragedy. It would be like levelling to 40 in WoW and yelling from the rooftops, 'this game sux!'.

QFT. I still have Mmo-champ as my home page, after taking a look at the event, well taking a look at the site has EVERYTHING wrt WOTLK. That defeats the purpose of exploring the game :(
