Would the Ps4 version work?

So, Getting a Ps5 this week, Mainly for Gran turismo

Saw they have a jan special up, and found these

One is Ps5/Ps4, the other is Ps4,
Now is the Ps5 version really worth that extra dosh? Doesnt it auto upgrade to the Ps5 version when you start up the cheaper one?

I dont do VR, Have no intention to do it....
I dont have a 4k tv,

Would i be stupid to buy the ps4 version?

Yes, R165 is not that much extra and you get software that takes advantage of the PS5. Never mind 4k, but things like load times, Ray Tracing etc.
 
If you can afford a PS5 you can surely afford the under 200 rand addition to get the PS5 version.

Just asking because Why piss away R150, if you dont need to. Its a digital download, so its not like i have a fancy game case etc...
 
The PS4 version will work…but then the question is why buy a PS5 at all to only get the PS4 experience on it which is what it will be.

I agree it’s outrageous to have different costs for versions on the PS5 but it is what it is. Xbox is awesome in this regard.

But also it’s a **** game, so just save your money and don’t buy it at all. Unless you don’t have an Xbox then I guess compromise is the name of the game.

GT is awesome, Really... except prologue (or whatever it was called)

I have an xbox, but the one before the series s/x thingy... they only have forza, which is stupid and I cant drive it

I played Gran Turismo 1-5 and it simply didn’t evolve.

It’s like pushing a bunch of weightless matchboxes around.

The reason you can’t play Forza is because it actually trying to be realistic.
 
The steering to me seemed , heavy in forza, The car never really wanted to turn in, drifting was alot harder etc.
I dunno, i guess im just better?


I kid,
I just dont like the feel of forza, well the xbox in general. The latest one has me excited because of Kyalami, Might just end up getting a second hand series x somewhere for that

Word on the street is that the new Forza motorsport is kuk*.

*Compared to the previous ones.

Yea, I mean DF did whole 1hour video comparing the two, you can watch it or just guess the result: GT7 wins. Especially shocking considering GT7 is a cross generation title whereas FM is not.

Note, this is on visuals only and not things like gameplay, but it gives you an idea of the level of quality of GT7.

Look I'm probably biased, I do prefer GT7 but do think they can add tracks. Also don't like the roulette rewards system.
Forza, dunno, was expecting more, like the gear shifts and sounds I was slightly disappointed in.
But keep finding myself going back to GT7.

You know I was actually at a loss of what to call it and roulette came to mind so went with that. But yeah, spin the wheel, roulette, whatever, that whole lottery system - just tell me my prize or give me a set amount, find that thing a waste of time.

That’s exactly the difference, cars in Forza carry real weight which yes makes them feel heavy and harder to steer…like real cars.

GT everything feels like a weighted matchbox which is why it’s so easy.

Cars can seemingly also go around corners at virtually any speed and hardly ever understeer.

Yes it’s all just about pretty.

Evidently nobody cares about the underlying gameplay or the ridiculous menus or the stupid people “talking” to you the whole time but they couldn’t bother recording real voices for them.

It is pretty in many places sure, but the overall experience is just weird.

Outside the gameplay itself it’s just a very annoying experience and then the gameplay itself is terrible.

The VR implementation is also just very weird. They seemingly only added it the race itself and not the interface and that jolts your brain every time it switches.

Forza is simply a better game that actually feel like you are driving actual cars. GT is a game “about” cars and it would have been fine if it was just that but then they got lazy in that implementation as well.

End of the day I guess it’s just too Japanese.
