Would this antenna work on my Neoflex modem?

You should check at what frequency the Neotel network operates and then find an appropriate antenna.

I have seen antennas suitable for Neotel on Poynting, but they were outdoors...
Why can't you mount outdoors? I doubt that the indoor antenna will make a big difference since you limit yourself to orietating it parallel to a wall.
 
I live on an estate - and so were not allowed to mount things on the exterior of our homes so has not to spoil the "look" of the estate. The orientation isnt much of an issue for me since the base station is pretty much at a right angle to my wall - so mounting an indoor one against my window would be just fine.
 
Seems not, looking at other "Neotel" stuff from these guys indicates Neotel use the 900Mhz range while this is from 1.7 to 2.2 Ghz.

Specifically, neotel runs the 800Mhz-920Mhz for the CDMA it has now. When they release Rev B and such then its the 1.9Ghz range. So its not worth it now. Better to get the LPDA-A0021 or something so it covers both sets of ranges.
 
yeah thats the one I have at the moment - sticking it inside the roof - thats not a bad idea actually... I should try that.
 
Talking about rev. b - would current neoflex users be able to take advantage of that or would we need new hardware?
 
One more question - the neoflex modem has two evdo antennas but the external yagi antenna only has one cable to connect to one of the antenna ports on the modem. Would it be possible to split the yagi's cable into 2 so it would fit over both ports on the neoflex modem? If so would it make much of a difference?
 
Would like to know as well...as just recently got my Neoflex Modem and interested in get my RSSI down
 
I bought an external antennae but it's just lying about, not using it. I came to a realization that boosting the signal isn't gonna do much if there is something wrong with their network.

not really having any problems with my connection...has been working since i've had it...about 3 weeks now. Pretty much achieving good speeds but my RSSI is a bit high since i have a metal roof. So if i get an external antenna im sure i can achieve better speeds :D

Have also stopped using mine since the Neotel network is generally f**ked. It did improve my signal and RSSI to 4 bars (from 2/3 bars) and 67 (from 88) respectively.
 
I guess not always having a great RSSI is needed since im getting around 1976kbps down with an RSSI of 93 of EVDO 1 and 82 on EVDO Signal 2 :confused:
