Cryorig R1 Universal

It's about 1k. Has very good reviews. ( http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/R1_Universal/ ).

I have also looked at various closed loop liquid coolers, but I can't have the radiator taking 1 to 2 fan spaces as I have expensive be quiet! fans installed. Also no noctua coolers, I know they are top of the range air coolers but their color scheme doesn't sit right with me.

Any other suggestions are welcome, price doesn't matter as long as the price to performance ratio is good.

Get closed loop cooler
Replace fans with your expensive ones
???
Profit

Sure, they may not be controlled by the motherboard but who cares if they are quiet enough

I would love to upgrade to a corsair H80i, but i doubt that pump will last very long at 24/7 operation.

I have the Corsair H40 and it's been going for 2 years+ running 24/7.
