Would you switch from XP to MacOSX Lion

No worries bud, I understand, was just looking for a "temp" solution to maybe see what it might feel like , watched a couple youtube videos as well.
I'll do some more research and maybe put the uncapped adsl connection to some work after hours.

When I switched to linux, lasted about 2 days before I got gatvol, that was a massive waste of download time.

I'd suggest you dual boot Windows & OS X if this is your only laptop... Getting to know any new OS requires more than just 2 days...

At least with dual boot you can easily get your windows fix whilst you find out more about your new OS... Ps if you have enough disk capacity and the will power, you could even triple boot with Linux :D

Btw you'll have no issues with OS X and any of your use cases; funny thing though is that I believe Linux should also have coped?
