Even the best martial artists will tell you to only defend against a knife if you have no way out.
There is almost no way you won't be cut, there is a very real chance that you WILL die.

I'd like to say I'd beat the **** out of him because I'm doing Jiu Jitsu.

I'd like to say I've already learned how to deal with knife attackers in Jiu Jitsu.

But I haven't, so I'd probably die.

Jiu Jitsu is pretty decent 1v1, but if the oke has a knife... Changes things.

It's true, a knife is how long... 10 cm? 10cm of sharp metal practically anywhere in your body is enough to put you in hospital.
 
I'm still amazed at all these people who do marshal arts, MMA etc.....they think they can take on anyone. Makes me laugh. I see all these big guys saying that they wud beat the guy to a pulp. So I say can you run 600m+ a second....they ask me why.....I turn around and say because that's how fast my 9mils flies lol.....they still try make excuses but at the end of the day if u have ever looked down the barrel on the wrong end then you will know you can't do **** unless you are armed yourself and see it coming from a mile off.

+1 Talk is cheap the moment you have a gun pointed at your head and the guy is yelling. "Don't you ****ing look at me!" Your point of view changes instantly. Take what you want nothing I own is even worth me getting hurt. Most of my stuff I can easily replace and the rest is insured.

Im 5`10` he was 6`3`

I have a friend who got shot in the shoulder after resisting a mugging (only luck and the poor aiming from the drugged up mugger saved him). Thinking of how it could have ended, I will gladly give up my cellphone and wallet. My stuff is insured, my life is not.

About a week ago I saw these three youths hang out near a convenience shop.
I was driving past on my way to a fuel station and saw them - looked like the scruffy/up to no good types. Saw an old lady come out the shop and they checked her out. Just knew something was about to happen. I rushed the attendant to finish with the fuel as they were just out of view. I got going and slowly rolled on down the road. I saw them in the distance and they were following her. I waited and sure enough, they made their move and surrounded her. She was having none of it, resisted and screamed and shouted. They pushed her and shoved her. I drove up jumped out and ran towards them, one had a knife I think. They shoved some more and she fell to the ground, then we really kicked the s.h.i.t out of her :twisted:
