So yesterday morning I was at work checking gmail on my cell at work only to find out at 5am that morning I changed my Battle.net password!

Being blocked at work from all gaming sites and email sites etc I had to get a friend to change my password, but it was too late...

My lvl 80 priest was left naked in wintergrasp as well as my other account's Mage :(

I have done a web report and an email to blizzard.

Still no response...

So I have lost all my items and gold on two seperate accounts because I merged to battle.net...

What happens now?
Does blizzard take time to check I am telling the truth?
Then restore me?

The biggest issue is I was guild leader :(
So its not a pretty scene

We had a guild officer who got hacked recently. All his items including those from the guild bank was restored. Bliz handles this 1000x times better nowadays than back in the days.

But really, I must ask how on earth did you get your account hacked...

I never use my gmail address for stuff unless I have to, which I did with my battle.net account. The difference is, everywhere else I sign up on stuff I sign up with a domain that forwards to the gmail address, so very few places/people know about my gmail address. Perhaps that helps?

Anyways still unhacked since WoW beta. /touchwood

His computer is probably infected with some kinda spyware/worm/trojan.

Just on a side note:

I noticed lately that there are level1 toons that whisper people randomly telling that Blizzard is launching new Mounts and pets and that you need to sign up for it. Then gives you a web address.

I could tell straight from the word go that is a means to try and get your account details. But many people have fallen for this, just keep an eye out fo rit and report them using the "Report Spam" option

did you reply to a O MY GOODNES YOUR SUSPECTED OF SELLING YOUR ACCOUNT OR SELLING GOLDS e-mail by any chance ?

I have it simpler, after the level 1 gold sellers spammed me, I added a simple filter rule to WIM to ignore ALL messages from level 1 toons. Its rarely happens nowadays that I get spam via whisper at all.

Use Blizzards OTP system. Get their soft token and generate a new password every time you log in. *I dont play wow so I dont know if its availible in SA.

Yea I'd highly recommend the Battle.NET authenticator. If you have an iPhone it's free to use (just change your itunes region to UK or something and not SA)

Otherwise their online shop sells the authenticators, costs less than R100 and you can use 1 authenticator on both those accounts.

You had to give your details out somewhere. Most likely, if you didn't you have a virus. Otherwise, your friend knows your details and he/she most likely fell for the phising scam.

I use the mobile authenticator on my Nokia phone cost me R7.50 for it now without it no 1 can get into my account even if they have my password. Only duzie is if your phone goes down your stranded

You have a link to DL that for nokia's plox

Shame man, sucks when something you have worked so hard on is ruined by some tw@t. Look on the bright side, if you were playing EVE... you would have been shrugged off as another victim of in-game warfare.

The download is available for free if you know where to look, any phone with Java ( .jar running ) capability can use it :)

Come on guys whats R7,50 lol for the ligit product not like u can buy a house with that.

Problem is like things above, unsupported phones etc, least with free you can test it. And the download links they send aren't always valid, causing you to request it multiple times. Avoid the hassle and download the freebie, what's the worst that can happen? It will work,or it won't
