Anyone else getting geared up for Cataclysm? If so, what are you doing to prepare?

Playing Aion :p

... then playing Guild Wars 2 :p :p

...... then playing SW:The old republic :p :p :p

Then you will refuse to progress further in the raids QQ

Well, what I do to prepare for Cataclysm, is I rub my hands together profusely every night before bed!

What prep can really be done for cataclysm? All the gear you work for now is surely going to become pretty worthless when you hit level 85 and begin the process all over again.

Plus a fresh level 80 will practically level just as quickly as a raid geared character (well I've just levelled a DK and it was a 'walk in the park'...actually felt easier than with my main warlock).

Don't know why but I just can't get excited about the next expansion and I'm seriously thinking about not renewing my sub again with them when it ends this time round (I'm starting to do other things at night now instead of WoW...and I'm enjoying these other things more!)

I only started playing again about a month ago , Im still running around in some of my BT gear. I left TBC before the WOTLK came out and then decided to go back to wow to see the new content and quests etc.

The peeps in my old WOW original guild do the same, We used to be a hardcore 40 man guild ( those where the days ) but since the introduction of 10 and 25 man raids and the ease of which anyone can get epics... well epic items are not the same as they used to be. The old WOW before any of the expansion used to make you feel like you have achieved something when you had your T2 and T3 gear.

But thats what a online game is , its forever evolving and changing.

As for me , depending how long catacylsm takes and if its out soon I might play it .. But the peeps in my guild and I are waiting for diablo 3 and decided to take our guild into the diablo realm.

I dont know about anyone else here , But WOW really needs a graphics overhaul :p

Theres little reason to prep for Cataclysm since the biggest draw to play it will be the reinvented lowbie zones, the new race-class combos and the new races themselves.
So I'm trying to enjoy Wrath, focusing on gearing up for Icecrowne. Once Cataclysm lands the slate will be wiped clean and I'll probably roll up a goblin somethingorother. Maybe a rogue. Maybe a warrior. Not yet decided.

Ive had no internet at home since Wednesday last week, what a winner when there are public holidays and what not. I really thought i would be bleak that i wouldnt be able to play WoW, but truth be told i didnt even miss it. I think this is a sign to cancel the old account. Or atleast freeze it until Cataclysm hits. So thats how i will be preparing :)
