Ok first question. Is it possible to pay by debit card? I have an ABSA Visa Electron card and despite multiple attempts to pay for a subscription, it continually gets rejected.

Basically long story short, which payment option should I select when making a card payment.

My confusion comes here: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/3189/ccard.jpg

My bank card is listed under Credit Card options, yet its a debit card! Help please!

As someone whio worked in EFT switching:
Visa debit cards require PIN information of which no provision is made for on the payment form (and pretty much never is, punching PIN's in over the intertrons is incredibly dangerous), the field is flagged required when it's switched through Visa. Which isn't the case with credit cards.
So no, debit cards do not work.

I dont think its the pin. just about all debit cards in the UK require a pin now. No signatures. I use mine for various debit order payments. I buy from Amazon on a regular basis without problems. My monthly gas bill is paid by debit order using my debit card. Its also a VISA card. It may be that its an Electron card thats the problem.

Yeah I'm thinking its the Electron cards that it rejects. I always use my HSBC Solo card to pay this without any problem and thought I'd try it with my ABSA card but to no avail, nothing works. Using the HSBC card now, no problems all sorted :)
