hi, is that EU or US CD-key, or does the CD-key not matter for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade?

I went to the midnight release at Budget Technologies/btgames/co.za last night and discovered that they actually had no stock of the collector's edition.
hahahahahha get this.... and they say they are the sole-distributors for the CE!
What a bunch of wallies.
All the other distributors are "sold-out" so maybe what they say is true.
it begs the questions though, How the fk do they do their ordering? surely they order product A and product B and then pay for it. Then track product A and B separately? So they should then initiate legal action against their suppliers for the loss of sales and to prevent it from happening in future. If they weren't ordering properly or didn't track it properly with their supplier then they are stupid.
They have not updated their web site to apologise or inform people of the problem/delay. The CE is still available as a Pre-order... no comment.

I'm to impatient to download the ISO's. Think I'm just gonna wait till I get my box. Oh well **** happens, can honestly say I wasn't holding my breath though, kind of expected this.
Yeah.. its seems that the real stories are slowly comming out.
I had a long conversation at btgames with the guy there running it.
It turns out that they ordered 5000 copies, which was confirmed and payed for. Shortly before release though they were told that that has now changed and that they are getting 1/3 of that... Supplier out of stock.
Of that stock that arrived they had issues with customs... etc etc.
I was also told that take2 will only receive 50 copies from them (as they supply them) as only 220 copies were available.
Also, Kalahari's (who I originally ordered from) support center now also says that they are looking at end Jan.. Early Feb.
Anyway.. I managed to get 2 copies =), so if anyone can't wait or is unable to download the 2.4gig, I can make copies and you can collect from me. Cape Town tho !
Then just buy the cd-key from gamersloot.net or offgamers.com.

That makes no sense, you're too impatient to wait a day to download, but you are willing to wait a week for the box ;p I was waaaaay too impatient for that
problem for me is. i want the stuff in the collectors box, and the pet so i cant. downloading it isnt gonna help. this is why i pre-ordered the dam game and now i'll probably have to downgrade to standard anyway 
they have tons of the standard ones ... just no collector's *grumble*

problem for me is. i want the stuff in the collectors box, and the pet

The problem is that if you don't have the box you will never get the pet because something went wrong at Blizz and now you have to POST (yip snailmail) them the slip of paper in your box and and also cut out the barcode from your box
and include that. So you have to deface your "Collector's Edition" box to get the pet, WTF? So Gamersloot is going to have hundreds of pets LOL
Still no news about the CE from BT. If BTgames doesn't take legal action against their suppliers.... I'm so peeved, I will actually consider it *grrrr* because now if I don't get it from BT I will not get it anywhere else. If we've learned anything from Telkom it should be that any kind of sole-distributor/monopoly is not desirable because it allows for this kind of snafu. And if there was competition, there would be more of an effort from the competing companies to get it right because they would lose out if they didn't. Now we are at BTgames' mercy... not good at all.
edit: BTGames contacted me and said they have secured some copies. Luckily I ordered waay back

Also ordered the CE from btgames but didn't receive it in all fairness they have offered to make amends by sending me a 60 day gamecard. So it would seem there are a few companies serious about CRM
That said really sawks that I won't have my pet, I will order CE later on for all the other cool goodies

Our supplier only managed to get extremely limited stock of this item and won't be getting in any more any time soon.

I managed to get a copy of TBC from btgames on the 18th. I wasn't able to get a copy of the collectors edition ( which i pre-ordered ) though. There were a few collectors at btgames midnight launch ( Tygervalley ) but they got taken VERY quickly by other guys with pre-orders.
I decided, buy a standard now, I can't wait any longer, pick up my collectors next week Friday when they will be getting new stock and sell the key to one of the many people looking for one to recoup the cost. I heard kalahari will also be getting stock of the collectors on Friday 26th.
On a side note, playing TBC now and its been damn good so far. Loads of inactive players have started playing again, so outland is packed with people ( respawn rates adjusted to compensate ), the pvp objectives are constantly busy. I haven't seen so many of my fellow horde online in a very long time, enough to keep the numbers between horde and alliance balanced. Majority of the quests don't have a grind feel to them and have you doing new and interesting things ( like bombing burning legion forces ). The instances thus far have also been a big improvement over the traditional ones, you'll see when you do them ^^. The new areas are also well done visually, they set a fitting atmosphere and it looks like your exploring some strange untamed world. Overall, the content from 60-70 is great, now just to see if endgame is better than 60 endgame.

I have my collectors edition but unfortunately with all the fuss over the CE i got a normal copy to start playing till i get my CE. For any one interested i will be selling the key only, give me a PM if ur interested.
PS. BTgames didnt give the 60day timecard, was just to shut us up it seems.
