Hey Guys,

I know you've probably read the questions I'm about to ask a million times before but humour me if you will...

Yesterday evening I got a 10 day trial pass and started playing WoW for the first time. To me, everything works pretty well but I want some advise regardless. I have a 2gb - 384kb DSL account...do you reckon that 2gb's of bandwidth will be enough? Considering that I work from 8 - 5 and probably won't be playing for more than say 2 - 3 hours a day... And, the ISP that I use is called LAVA Hosting (effectively IS)...I have no idea whether their bandwidth is shaped or not. Does anyone perhaps know? I don't really want to switch ISP's as the service there is quite good.

BTW - Can't wait to get home and play!!!

How do you get a 10-day trial?
Do you need to download a special version of WoW?

2gb should be enough yes.
But i don't recommend using IS. They go via satellite which will give you high latency...
I recommend Web Africa unshaped.

Or just ask on the forum for someone that have a guest account for you... Not sure if I still have a few spare guest accounts, but think you can get one on the oficial forums now too....

2Gb should be plenty to handle your wow traffic, I play 4-5 hours per day and a lot more over weekends and uses about 1Gb per month, if there are downloads (patches) you might need more, recomend getting a cheap prepaid for that then...

And welcome to WoW, hope you enjoy your stay :D Be warned though it is highly addictive...

So where do you get the client? xP
Usually it costs money....which means its not really a free trial.

Awesome...thanks guys...appreciate the help!

Thx werries2...and so the addiction begins I suppose!!

you download it, then activate with 10 day free trial key.
Once trial is up you need to purchase a retail key, which is the same price as the game IIRC. =)
I got WOW+BC from Makro in Woodmead for R499.00

Cut and paste works without any problems at all.
