Wow patching

Hi guys,

I have bought the original wow eu and a gamecard. It seems that I have version 2.4 atm. Now my question is: must I download all the patches up to vesion 3.09 to be able to play? Would it be better to buy the expansions?

You will need to download all patches up to 3.0.9.

You should be able to download them somewhere locally.

when i try to use World of Warcraft client patch 2.3.2 it says at the bottom "waiting for files to close..." I have closed all the files and nothing - it still don't want to update the game or whatever it is supposed to do!! I have already downloaded the patch WoW-2.3.0.7561-to-2.3.2.7741-enGB-downloader

any ideas?

Try re-installing wow. Just backup your patches first!

Oh, btw is there anyone who could copy the patches I need ( I have 2.4 eu) and mail them to me? I don't have enough bandwidth to download them. I will pay you for your trouble. Just send me a pm, if you'd help me out.

i have reinstalled and now when i try to log in it just says connecting for a minute then there stands "HELP" or "OKAY". i installed a new anti-virus today and since then it doesn't want to work. any ideas?

You are going to need to download ALOT of patches. Probably will be around 2 - 3 gigs. My advice would be to at least buy the BC to get some of those updates. Depending on your bandwidth it might actually work out cheaper just to buy all the games

There are patches available on ftp.is.co.za though.

I have recently bought The World of Warcraft Battlechest which contains both WOW and TBC. I have fully installed both of them and when I start up the game it shows me on the bottom left of the screen, that it is version 2.3.0.7641. What patches do I need to download in order to play the game on the EU Servers? I don't want to use the blizzard downloader. I have the EU Version. Can someone tell me what I need to play. Thanks

you need 3.0.9 if i remember correctly. from 2.3.0 to 3.0.9 it is like 5 gig of patches...

3.0.9 is the current build. If you grab a Lich King dvd you'll get upto 3.0.2 so then about a gig's worth of downloads to go to get everything running hunky dory again
