WOW Problems again

Yo I am just wondering if anyone here is raiding 25 man and having problems.

I raided ICC25 man HC with no problems in WOTLK.

But when Cata hit I started raiding 10 man and had 0 problems on any Bosses. Always +- 220ms but I did my 1st 25 raid yesterday.
CoW 25 HC went fine, no problems but then into Bastion of Twilight and Halfus 25 HC and I had insane LAG. My FPS seemed to be playable but latency showed 480ms and then 850ms etc but when I tried to cast there where like 2 sec delay atleast. Unplayable.

System Specs:
Core 2 Duo 3.2ghz
4GB Ram
HD4870 1GB Card
Win7 x64

DSL 4Meg with Web Africa and a Proxy (usually +-220ms everywhere)

So ye I dunno wtf. Any1 else here doing 25 man raiding? Any comments?
 
Cant really comment on yesterday because I didnt really play. Today however I notice that I am running with 900ms where I normally get 280.
 
if you are using putty, i have noticed it starts to get a bit flakey in 25mans for some unknown reason.

try out securecrt, you should be able to find a torrent somewhere
 
Just a friendly warning, some securecrt cracks do contain wow loggers, I was a victim of that until I got myself a authenticator. Ofcoarse I didn't know what keylogged me, and I got it after many clean installs, only to find months later the antivirus now found the keylogger in my securecrt cracked exe.
 
Disabling omen fixed my disconnects on Halfus,Chimearon and Cho'gal. Just don't tell my RL :P
 
Hmmm I had issues last night in 25 man raiding, but my problems were more FPS related. We were doing Valiona + Theralion and for some reason everything was stuttering + lagging. Never been like this before, and its surely not a hardware problem.
Latency seemed OK (was a tiny bit higher than normally), no DC's, no databursts, but definately stuttering at some points in time.
I even set my graphics details lower to see if it would make an improvement, but alas, I think it may have been a addon with aggressive syncing issues.
 
I'll just disable everything except Bartender, Decursive, VBM & Vuhdo and use securecrt and we'll see

Try not sucking so much. And putty works fine, got nothing to do with the ssh client.
 
no, securecrt is just an alternative to putty. A SSH-Client application.

Though I do use it in conjunction with my own server.
 
er what? putty?? is it something I can do on my own laptop to make wow run better? without having to pay for it?
 
You can use putty, however without access to a server to use it with it will be useless. So what you are paying for is not the application, but access to the server it connects to.
 
I have noticed that since Cata released my ping goes insane in BG's. Standard play = about 300ms......enter WSG and all goes to hell...upwards of 1000ms on both my cybersmart and afrihost accounts. Raids and dungeons seem to be better, but still jump 400-500ms higher.
 
Ok so I had most of my addons disabled (only the needed ones for raiding etc). Sunday I was more concerned with the latency problems + I also only did a frew tries on Halfus HC, but seems that was just a once off thing as latency was perfectly fine last night, BUT the real problem I now realize I have (something that I did not really pay attention or really saw to with the ms LAG) is massive FPS lag.

As I said in my 1st post me System is this:

Core 2 Duo 3.2ghz
4GB Ram
HD4870 1GB Card
Win7 x64

I went along to Valiona and Theralion, Ascendant Council & Cho'gall and had a horrid +- 9 FPS in the fights with parts of Cho'gall taking me to like 2FPS. Slideshow **** and not cool.
Seriously is this PC above suppose to perform so crap in CATA?

3D Mark 11 test scores I did are perfectly fine and even slightly higher than other similar systems I found on the net.

Any opinions/ideas/tips?

Same situation / problem as me... its not your pc, its the game. They will iron out the bugs, just give it time. Throwing hardware at it wont help... even my system with a Intel i7 920, 6 gig 1600 Mhz ram, 160 Gig Revo X2 SSD, Nvidia GTX570 video card, Killer NIC etc. cant run certain encounters smoothly without FPS loss / stuttering issues.

What I did find helped a bit for me, was to disable the processor affinity hacks + d3d forced entries in the config.wtf ... but dont expect massive improvements though.
