No. I know a warrior who tanked all the way to BT with default ui. I also know of healers who heal with default ui.

A warning about mods. Patches can break them. Its then a mad scramble to get them updated. Mostly the authors arent 100% ready, so you for a day or so you lose your mod. Its usually the big patches that cause the most grief.
 
I tried to install DezerUI now, but with no luck. It gave A LOT of errors, so I updated it through wowmatrix, logged back in, but still gives errors, ingame error even saying that too many addons gave error and would you like to disable addons.
Over and above the errors, it looks nothing like the screenshot from the official page, buttons and ***** all over the place :(

Guess it is over to try Spartan or even back to my own.
 
I installed SpartanUI, looks pretty good straight off, had to make a few minor changes to Bartender (that is bundled with Spartan) and it looks alright now. Now I must just get all the other addons I need and Bob** is my uncle (**I, henceforth Trixanno, has no official connection to, or any relationship with Robert Gabriel Mugabe, henceforth Bob).

Just a question on Spartan, there are quite a few weird blocks and things at the bottom of the screen with nothing in it, what is this and can I move them?

I should hope not, he is our yellow love banana flinging shaman dammit!

These are for you to place your chat frames etc on i think, thats what I did with mine when I ran it

Judging by the SpartanUI screenshots on the site, it could be ElksBuffBars
 
will post screenie when I get home, but now the bar has opened downstairs in our office and it's my last day at work for this year :D
 
I've never really like the pre-packaged UI sets, mainly because I didn't like the all the mods they had and it was a mission to figure out which ones where the ones I wanted to remove. (Although now I know a lot more mods it will probably be easier)

I prefered making my own as I went along and found a need for something. Then I know exactly what each mod adds to the UI and can get rid of something easily if I find it annoying/useless.

It looks a little chaotic at times with my constant tweaking but I like it :o.

I can't show my current one because my gfx card died and I'm waiting for it to be replaced (and I don't have onboard :()
It hasn't changed much though. Mainly just rearanged my spells for Aff, taken off the XP and enabled my Soul Stone and summon trackers.

The main reason I have my spells on my bars is for the CD (I have OmniCC for the nice big numbers on the tiles)
