WoW is a bit like smoking... You wouldn't recommend it to anyone you care about, and God help anyone that tries to get you to quit! :p

Addiction can be a b!tch1... But I can quit any time I want to. I just don't want to right now... One more level...

And when you done with trying different classes, change servers

what do you mean dont recommend it, i have been trying to get my husband to play for 2 years, just so he would shut up about my wow time. ;p

Hi my name is Blatman, I am a wow junkie and this is my story.

On one fateful Sunday my son convinced me to buy this odd looking WOW game in Inc Connection. He played it for a while, trying many times to convince me to have a go. I was more of a 1st person shooter or starcraft/warcraft gamer, not to convinced about prancing around in an elf land killing spiders and butterflies.

My wife eventually convinced me to do the sporting thing and have a quick go. Come on! she said, you need to bond more with your son, so to please all I decided to create a character, after all what harm could a few hours really cause...........

And so it began I was going to quit after lv 19 so I could just own in PVP BG's, then 40 just wanted the mount, then 60, then the epic mount, then 70 then flying mount........

Help me! I am now a guild class leader raiding Kara. Oh and my son I think he still plays sometimes.

Hehe, atleast you have that very good excuse when they complain that you play too much :D

Can we swap wives? Or maybe just arrange a heart to heart chat between your wife and mine? I am only asking for a bit more time ... say an extra 2.5 - 5 hours per night...

But I swear as Ink_Blotch said, I can also quit at anytime .....

only way to fully stop is to completely delete wow of your PC

Its a b!tch to re-install.

That did the trick for me

Explain to her that doing things together is a bonding experience. Pretty soon you'll both have lvl 33 characters (a hunter for her and a priest for me) and you'll get all the WoW time you need :)

Now I just need her to play a bit less so that I can make some more gold for my lvl 70 for epic flying training...

Nope, tried that. She used to play EQ with me. But now she dicovered those silly little things made out of paper ... books, I think it's called.

The other problem would be the fights generated from the fact that we would have a pc shortage. I alredy lost the great war of 2002 titled "Who gets the DSTV remote".

Imagine, 2 pc's, 3 WoW accounts ... <shudder>. It's safer to just let the rest of the family squabble over the remote and leave me in my corner on my pc ...

Although it is the perfect time to get a new pc for you and donate the old one to her...

I tried to get the wife to try it... Didn't work. But hey, at least I don't have to share my PC. That could get ugly.

And just to prove that I can quit any time I want to, I haven't logged in tonight, and I am not going to. Although maybe some of my auctions sold... Hmm...

brb

I tried that after 2 years of solid hardcore WoW addiction and it didn't work. The only thing that cured me was deleting all my characters.....

Damn ... thats going to far. I know u have to make a clean break, but killing ur characters .. horror of horrors

I will never be able to kill my trusted companions.

I'll play till the WoW server burns and Blizzard decides not to replace it :D

I still have the logins to my old EQ accounts. And if they haven't done a wipe, you'll still see my old druid, shaman and mage floating around.

I just cannot bring myself to delete them......

imho the worst thing to do is delete yur chars,If you still have wow on your PC your never stop playing and by deleting them will only give you the will to make a new char from scratch and play over again.

takes alot to stop wow, trust me i havent played wow for a month now and still no wow rehab clinics out there can help.

I are scared for life!!!:D
