If you watched that game lastnight, how do you feel about the brain dead ref??

Even if you support the winning team, be honest!!!'

Im watching schoolboy rugby now, and even the ref for this game is 100x more adequate than the PRO ref of lastnight

you're not alone bru, I thought that ref should never have been in charge of an important CC game ...... those clown touchies were no better.

I am a Sharkie through and through but I felt the ref certainly had something against Province during at least the 2nd half. Some of his penalty decisions for not releasing were extremely dubious and there were one or two other questionable ones.

that's coz he was making up for having something against the Sharks in the first half ....... the penalty count then was 11 against us and only 1 for WePee

have to agree, i thought it was just me. pathetic.
they said willie roos was supposed to ref but he broke his ankle in an IRP game between Japan and ..?? The other ref, forget his name now, was sick so this twit got such an important game.

What did you think of the terblanche penalty? Where he placed the ball and kept his hand on the ball? I am of the opinion that he has every right to keep his hand on the ball when placing it regardless of the pressure he is placing on it...

nah I think that was a legit penalty .... the irksome part is that there was no consistency .... again

But you are allowed to place the ball and keep your hand on it. They cannot rule on the pressure you place on the ball. I thought it was experience on Terblanche's part...

not if there's no ruck .... which there wasn't .... he was holding the ball on the ground while an opposing player was trying to get it ... clear infringement.

The general feeling from the rugby pundits were that the ref tried to kill the game with his whistle. As for the score, quite a good effort by WP considering it's basically a WP B or C team since 13 WP players are in the current Springbok setup.

who won, which side is the whingers? I'm guessing wp lost?

though no bulls, so was there even a match?

10 players ... of which only 8 can be missed. Over exaggerating wepee players, who would of guessed

I think we may also have got used to the Super 14 where free kicks were given instead of penalties. Penalties slow the game down considerably and may create the perception that the ref was killing the game with his whistle.

we were supposed to be under all the ELV's from last nights game ............... so all those penalties were wrong then no?

It is all part of the conspiracy against WP (he says tongue in cheek!). The reffing was not great and seemed to go against WP but we cant use it as an excuse. We lost. I thought that if the trampling incident was on purpose(which it looked like) then we only have our discipline to blame. Overall it was not a bad performance by WeePee and we will only improve. As a guy that used to like Gio Aplom, his defensive frailties are too big to allow us the luxury of having him in the team. They should give other youngsters like Richard Lawson a chance at starting at fullback.
