I am happy with my recently purchased Nokia Lumia 610.
However, I am totally livid about the 7.8 update. They promised us a pseudo-WP8 upgrade and we (I) really felt it was worth getting into. So, I was really expecting more from the update, but instead, it is turning out to be a real let down to say the least.
I initially thought it was just me and I wasn't re-downloading my apps after the update thats why my apps were not working well. But, it has become apparent that there is a huge problem with the pseudo-WP8 update. All my push notification live tiles are absolutely not working on the Start screen.
WP7 has a myriad of problems.
- No use as mass storage option when connected to PC. I don't like Zune - sorry Microsoft. But, I never liked using Nokia suite either on Symbian. So nothing personal there Microsoft. I just don't like it.
- Media player with no stop button (this is for all Windows 8/7.x) and
- Can't we just kill our apps instantly without resorting to spaming the back button?
I am sure there are several other problems that WP has, which you have identified. But for this thread, my focus is on 'dead live tiles'. Such an oxymoron.
Am I the only one totally peeved about dead live tiles?
Have you also been driven up the creek by WP7.8 and its antics?
Are there immediate solutions while we wait for an update?
Is there even going to be an update?
Am I over reacting?
I've written feedback to Nokia but there has been no reply at all till now. A whole three weeks now.
