An hour or two ago Long Zheng posted the following picture on Twitter:

It shows "[his] suggestion to the WP7 team for Mango app switching UI".

So anyway, I have taken his concept a tad further and hacked up a Silverlight application which shows how I think it should be.

Yeah, I hope they do not have that awful background in the release version. It looks like it was designed in Paint.
Good job on the concept, hope they implement something more like that!

As a side note, I see some WP7 emulators that look like the one you're using on your site and some (like mine) that look different to that.
Do you know what that's from? I installed the dev tools at last MIX's release of them so maybe it's the old tools-emulator look that's stuck around?

@Jonno2343 - Yeah that is because the one im using is just a picture that they use for demonstrations and presentations, whereas the emulator is more of an industrial looking one. So you have the same emulator that we all do, it's just that I am using the presentation phone picture for this.
