Wrong grass grown for Greenpoint Stadium

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else on mbb, even though it happened a few days ago.

Two pitches grown off-site have already been rejected by Fifa's inspectors as the wrong colour and for using the wrong type of grass, so a new mix of seeds is being grown on the patchy surface below us.

The same way that there are many different types of grass, just the same way they have different shades of green, and some not even green.

This is like the most important thing to me -- I really don't care if the stadium parking lot still has potholes full of gravel, mud and broken bits of tar .. but for god-sake can they get the grass right. There is nothing worse than watching a football match on a pitch that looks all bobbley and is not mowed or grown properly.

Its all people will remember and where all the focus is.. The Pitch

During the Confederation Cup some of the matches looked like they were being played on a Rugby pitch and the game was not smooth or flowing.

There is no point in building a 50 billion stadium with an awful pitch
