Wrong keyboard binding

I've been working on a new HP with Windows 7 and I've just realised that the binding for @ and " is reversed. Where do I go to edit this? Registry?

You most likely have your keyboard layout set to UK instead of US.
I'm not sure how to change it so you will have to check Google

Control Panel. Region and Language, Keyboards and Languages.

No, I have absolutely no idea as to why this setting isn't under Control Panel, Keyboard.
