Wrong tariff code on imported item

Anyone know what the procedure is to have an imported item reclassified by customs? And can this be done before having to pay the duties at the Post Office?

I imported a Lego set, but looking at the manifest that the Post Office sent me, it was classified as "Other textile materials" which now requires me to pay a ridiculous 45% customs.

Well, a VOC needs to be submitted, but the PO going to do this for you? Did you even check with them ?

Thanks, I at least wanted to go armed with some information.

Ended up going anyway because I had to collect another package. The lady was very helpful, checked the package and it clearly states "Lego". So she said that it was incorrect and that they will send it back to have it reassessed.
