wrt54gl need help with adsl bridging

Hi peeps..

this is my setup @ home.

netgear 834gt in modem (bridge mode) <---> 16 port switch <---> 5 pcs

now i want to insert the linksys router with its internet/wan port connected so that i can fix my I.S. account on the router.

the authentication works 100% on the router , but thereafter i cannot establish any other pppoe sessions from the pc's - i have to unplug the linksys , then all is ok

it's as if they now see the linksys router as the primary way of trying to authenticate , and no , i don't want the 5 pcs to use the linksys' gateway (IS)..just one...the other 4 must continue on their old usual way.

any ideas how to "disable" this ?

Only link between the netgear and the Linksys is the wan port on your setup or not?

i see what you mean.

At the moment my switch and the linksys are both linked.

The wan port is also plugged into the switch.

i'll test just with the wan port from the switch and then the sole pc wanting the linksys using it's switch port.

BTW, what's the Linksys like? It's supposedly great for modding (new firmware etc)
