My experience:
1. Obama agrees with Bush on climate change
2. Obama has sent more troops to Afghanistan
3. Obama allowed big oil companies the freedom to grow and create more jobs (ie, exempted them from EPA laws)
No idea why the 'publicans hate him so much. Must be because he's black. Or, you know, cleverer than them.
Unfortunately "the race card" gets used and abused so often people, become immune to the fact that someone may hate you for the simple reason that you have a different colour (and what you therefore 'represent')
Race is and will for a very very long time continue to be an issue (imho will remain with us forever, until we invent robot Surrogates )...as long as you have racism, so called reverse racism, bigotry, intolerance and people like Jules - the use of the 'race card' may be inevitable.

This often happens, after a presidential election, the other party wins big. Witness the 1994 republican revolution, the 2004 senate election etc.
And unless a president is spectacularly unpopular, he usually wins a 2nd term. Obama is unpopular but even Bush got a 2nd term, I mean, come on.

Bush got a second term purely based on fear. Not really sure what obama has going for him. It would be typical of the american public to vote in bush for 2 terms and not obama.
Almost all presidents that this has happened to in recent history have gotten re-elected. Happened to Bush, Clinton, Regan, Obama - loads of them. I think the single worst president in American history next to Bush... Nixon... even got re-elected.
