WTF is going on with my laptop?!

I have been experiencing some weird pop up box converting my text to Chinese randomly on my laptop.

:wtf: I'm sure its some kind of shortcut key I'm hitting accidentally. It mostly happens when I'm playing BCBF2 and when I'm working in CorelDraw.

Does anyone know what it is and how to disable damn thing.

Your laptop is Chinese? I only see tyhat in people who have installed 3rd party Chinese apps ir Windows apps that use the keyboard to make Chinese letters in accordance to sound.. Eg. pressing Q will have a symbol, QT will make a symbol similiar to the sound of QT...

Go uninstall it

Perhaps it's a thesaurus type program that displays synonyms or some auto complete feature, must be something installed by accident or was included with software you installed. Try uninstalling some unnecessary apps.

No, I'm pretty picky about what I install.
Besides, the software installed on my laptop is the same as on my desktop, and I never had this on there.
I went through it all quick anyway, and there is nothing strange installed.

ok I got an answer. Asus has a shortcut to change the language on their laptops to chinese.
I'm not exactly sure what the shortcut is, but its something like Ctrl Shift, Ctrl Space or Shift Space.
A different combination will switch it off again.

Anyways, uninstalling the chinese language pack from the laptop sorted it out.
