I keep getting these messages from Zone Alarm.

The firewall has blocked access to your pc from (port 2967) 172.26.139.60 .

Tried to get info by doing a ping, but nothing. How do i stop this?

Any info most welcome

Thanks

Have you got an antivirus?
There could a certain program which is communicating with a server, and the server trying to communicate back, maybe its trying to update itself.
Check your firewall for outgoing connections, try locate all applications sending data..

One assumes that IP address is not yours. It sounds like ZA is blocking an incoming connect request.

A quick Google indicates the port might have something to do with Symantec AV, but also might signify that someone else has this:

Exploits an overflow condition in Symantec AV Corp. Masquerades as msupdates.exe, nod33.exe and wauclt.exe. Bot also connects back to an IRC server on a non-standard port. Lives in %windir%\system32 and is set as hidden and read only. Makes many registry changes to the netbt hive under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services and to the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows run and OLE keys. Runs IP scans en mass to discover other hosts to infect.

Sounds like some external infected computer trying to see if it can infect you.

Which is what is happening all the time to everyone connected to the net. You cannot really stop other computers trying to connect to you - you just block them on your PC or router firewall.

err, you stop it by having a firewall. that's what it's supposed to do ;)

Thanks for the info guys, AVG picked up a trojan, Wiped it out. It seems like a random scanner is trying to get into my system, as no other pc is connected to this one.

Will activate all firewalls now.
