Ok would someone please explain this to me?
I was looking at my usage for the month and trying to figure out on which day I used too much of my cap ext on. I went to telkom.co.za then to dsl and from then went to telkom internet and used the usage tracker there which informed me of my usage of (And I am copy and pasting):
Total usage for June : 6.0448 GB
Which is already less then it said before (last time it was like 7gb)

BUt then I used the usage tracker that is found on the telkom dsl page and this is what I get:
Combined (Bytes) 4 231 839 034
Maybe its just me but that seems to be quite a big difference. Then I noticed something else:
Date Upload (Bytes) Download (Bytes) Combined (Bytes)
19-JUN-07 15 114 107 468 122 582
18-JUN-07 2 178 577 9 022 544 11 201 121
17-JUN-07 520 249 217 185 737 434
16-JUN-07 366 540 1 446 707 1 813 247

Which is all dandy exept that I have been "capped" since the 15th so how the freak is that possible?

Could someone please tell me what the hell is going on?

well

either your account (username/password) got stolen - or your kids/friends/it support got hold of it :D

in that case...verify the concurrency of the account with antibody's adsl usage analyser: http://antibody.za.net/ccount/click.php?id=1

if u know you're only supposed to have 1 or 2 or whichever # of sessions..then the concurrency count should give you a clear idea of whats happening..

check time of logins too.

also just watch out for p2p doing a seemless upload - or pc being a spyware host....can also trash your cap.

cheers

Only looked at this thread 'cus I'm bored. Really, iamavibe, if you start a thread, please give it a meaningful title that describes the subject matter. Far more people would read it, maybe even somone who could help with your problem.

LOL, Gatecrasher, you run out of coffee this morning :p

However, I have to agree with you. A subject of "wtf" doesn't give a hint about what the problem is. Most people who visit forums just skim over the subjects and view a subject that interests them. Very few people will click and go through each subject as it becomes very cumbersome and time consuming.

Having said that, I hope you come right with your problem
