"Milk shortages" are absolute bollocks.

A very good friend of our family is a dairy farmer and the stories you hear are simply appalling.

"Milk shortages" are routinely staged to inflate prices by the monopolistic dairies.

...and before you blame the farmers, they're generally living on '90s rates, so direct your rage accordingly.

Everytime I go grocery shopping I pay more. They have us bent over and are riding us hard. Not even the courtesy of vaseline or lube.

Dairy farmers all over are seizing operations as its not profitable anymore. Companies like Clover and Parmalat are setting the prices so low on the milk that they buy that its just not profitable anymore ,last I heard farmers where getting R3 a liter. Sad but true. This and the current high prices of corn as its a key ingredient in the feed will make production cost sky rocket. Now with the petrol price hike and the coming 28c next month will cause it go up more and the chain of raping the consumer just goes on.

It's easy...just don't buy cheese until the price comes down. You don't NEED it, you just want it...so stop complaining.

I know, I was at woolies earlier - R85 per kg of organic chicken! I went with organic lean beef at R100 per kg instead.

Wow that is expensive for chicken, just the other day at Food Lovers we got a kilo for like R40 yeah it was a normal super mutant chicken but hey, at least it wasn't organic.
