wth, 10 con current connections on uncapped account

i was talking to this random on the torrentleech irc server he said that he came from south africa and said that he is on this account that he and his friends are sharing, i said that theres no uncapped that allows more then 2 concurrent connections.
he sent me this 1 minute later:

Don't know the ISP. According to the IMG it is [????]link.com

A SA ISP running under .com , Strange. But there could be some of them out there (eg. saol.com). Why did you not ask the ISP name Ludjer? :P

there doesnt seem to be an l at the end. It appears to be five letters.

That first letter is either an n or an H.. but it cant be a capital.. so I dunno

Ok almost definitely netralink, which redirects to Datapro ;)

Could be an older ISP who Datapro took over. Google netralink

Aah I was about to post that highflyer, googled it. Oh you even wrote that.. well so much for all my hard work :P

So, did this guy get an old netralink account, or do datapro's current uncapped accounts come with 10 concurent connections? Maybe the corporate fibre connections.

Well if it is corporate fiber, that would be R5700 per month (incl VAT) split between 10 people that is less than R600 per month per person. Would each person need one of those Cisco type routers, or would normal ones work ?

With a quick calculation, on the day they downloaded combined 37 GB. Taking all in account, it seems like the speeds they are getting aren't too bad, maybe even over 512 kbps per connection :eek: The 180 hours div 9 concurrent connections gives about 20 hrs per person. 37 GB div 9 gives about 4.1 GB per person, and to get 4.1 GB in 20 hrs that would require an average speed of 59 KBps which is like 472 kbps theoretical or about 566 realistic kbps... Plus if it's fibre (IE if it is the corporate uncapped fibre), getting 35 GB per month (EDIT: 35 GB per month per person) would cost you normally over R1500. OpenWeb comes closest with the 512 kbps 30GB All Access package for sub R1000 per month, but that's satelite I think (EDIT: Apparently not ?! haven't been able to confirm this)...

i talked again to the guy and he said that you dont need a special router, it works with any normal telkom router and netralink is correct he laughed at me when i told him that. I think that he has connections cause that is amazing i would love to share something like this.

but i mean really how can this be possible cause if i am correct
majority of saix accounts are capped to 5 concurrent connections
how can they get 10 here??
 
And when you get the account, lemme know cos I wanna buy one of those connections :D
 
Buddy of mine worked for Netralink , ISP was bought out by Datapro about 8-10 months ago
 
I mailed datapro.
Their uncapped options only allows 1 concurrent connection. :(
That netralink account must be one of the Old accounts that still allowed 10 concurrent connections.
