Hi there

Want to get rid of my wow account on EU PVE Lightbringer

Level 85 Priest/Shadow Priest geared up for heroics.. ilevel 339 or so.

16k gold, 310% mount speed, mining/engineering

76 mage, 70 druid, 60 warrior

Have 12k+ gold on horde toons, they just level 15.

PST if interested.

I dont think you allowed to, because Blizzard will ban the wow account when the IP changes. Then you'd have to call the customer service to change things like Email, Name/Surname and lie to them about having another IP. (say you using WTFast or something)

So if I start playing on a different pc or at a different location they're gonna ban me? :P

Exactly how many South Africans own static IP's? I've been with 4-5 ISP's since starting WoW and even moved house. So far no account freezing. Sounds to me like an old wives tale that originated in Barrens Chat. :p

They check for big changes in IP's.

You're connecting from an SA range (41.x.x.x or 165.x.x.x / etc) and a minute later you're connecting from 81.x.x.x.
This flags that your account is being accessed from someone in another country - now unless you have a teleporter or timemachine, that's not possible. Thus suspicious behaviour -> account suspended.

This is for your own account safety because it's likely that your account was hacked if someone in another country is suddenly accessing it - unless ofcourse you're using a proxy, but Blizzard can't know that or be sure - so they're just playing it safe.

Not so true. When I traveled around the world, I often logged into my WOW from different countries. Not a single problem with my account. I also use tunneling services for lower pings and they dont display my IP.

This is perfectly true. Though i'm not so sure it applies as strictly nowadays. Back in 2008 I had experience with being banned for this reason :D Essentially it was my fault for hopping connections like rabbit on steroids in a small time frame.

Happened to me a couple of weeks ago when connecting without and then with www.reducethelag.com within a short period of time.
