Nothing really new announced I feel.. I mean there were a few but they seemed more like improvements than actual 'new features'. Looking at osx / macos
e.g. macOS
Photos.. why the entire iCloud lib always downloaded to your device was just always a fail.
iCloud optimize storage.. yah i'm not so sure i wanna trust it just yet.. maybe after a year or 3.. i like where they going with this btw. I reckon in a 2-3 years time we can expect to see the backup for osx going into icloud too
Desktop on all machines.. meh. I literally have folders with GoogleDrive, OneDrive, DropBox etc and system links where needed to sew it together. so if my notebook is destroyed i don't care about file loss as its a conscious loss. cool.. but lets face what the real thing they trying to push with these.. i.e. use of iCloud as a primary file store as currently very few use it as a primary.
PS. I'm sure all IT people are gonna be adding this to their firewall stuff, u know.. corp safety policies
Siri.. meh.. i don't even use it on my iPhone. I do use it on my watch when driving but thats about it. It's cool don't get me wrong but not gonna talk to my notebook anytime soon.. the watch and tv makes sense, phone.. uhm ok sometimes when I am using hands for other stuff but a notebook revolves around using your hands the last i checked so yah.. use cases limited. Siri being all quirky was like WTF.. 'your filing is styling'.. really? after the 1st few times it will get old fast. The notification panel getting used for result etc uhm.. not sure.
Universal Clipboard.. again, good luck with that for security policies.. I fear using 1Password(or other password manager) then if copy is used
Unlock with watch.. cool.. but thats what FingerKey (its an app) does for me sort of. Interestingly they made no mention of how the mac locks auto.. does it detect lack of proximity? Again.. feature will be disabled in corp. I like it though if it works when lid left open too..
PictureInPicture / Vid float window on OS support side.. cool.. but this should have been possible.
iOS features inherited to make photos catchup to Google.. cool.. but how much processing will this take and will the result be stored in the cloud so i don't do this everytime? imagine the compute cycles on ios and osx devices ig this happens simultaneously meh.. i dunno.. to me this should have been in the cloud but ok..
Apple Pay on Web.. uhm ok.. guess they really trying to get a chunk of the payments market

still early days
All in all it seems like a rework/enrichment of features/services than completely new.. i dunno, maybe i'm just a tough sell this year.
