Hey guys have decided to not get a phone but save up for a X Box console and some games but how much are the games approx?

599 for brand new ones..

get cheaper over time...

Cheapest I've seen so far is R300odd...

Saffer, I just got an xbox 360 pro on a Cell C casual chat 100 contrect for R144 pm. Got an LG KG100 phone free. Not a great phone, but still a nice deal.

xbox 360 games are between R300 and R400.

You can buy most 2nd hand games between R250-330 and new titles @ R400-540 at Animeworx. They seem to have the best prices around and I never had issues when trading in older games or buying 2nd hand games.

I highly reccomend them.

Yeah I would look at getting second hand games, or start a club with friends and pool money to get games.

700 i think

No not PS3 games, Xbox 360 games :D

Saffer the game prices vary dramatically... Here are some sites to check prices

www.btgames.co.za
www.animeworx.co.za
www.kalahari.net
www.digitalplanet.co.za

I have seen games going from R250 to R599. M$ did say they want the top price to be R499 but obviously people are not paying to much attention to that.

Look for specials and like other people have already mentioned you can buy second hand games cheap as well.

Well worth the money IMHO

Average price for 360 games is R450 online, R499 retail, and yes look out for specials, seconds and older games and you can get for ~R250-R300.

I haven't paid more than R300 for any Xbox game to date ;) (I've bought 6)

ok thanks guys. I will check it out. I will have about R2500 to R3000 at the end of July. I wanna buy a console and a game or something. Will I get both controls or only one or what happens?

1 control comes with the package.

There are a few great second hand deals going on at www.xbox-360.co.za

With R3000 you can only get the Core model which comes without the harddrive and with a wired controller. Try scrape up another grand from somewhere and get the premium model. It is a much better buy. You can then download games and demos straight from Xbox Live! to your Xbox.

I agree with GM. If you can, go for the Pro, you can get some great specials on it, like for R3549 plus a free game, or R3999 with an extra wireless controller and a game.

The core comes in at R2700 - but you'll need a memory card at least, which is another R300, so say R3000, the extra R500 is worth it for

Wireless controller
Live Headset
Harddrive (R1000 on it's own)
Hi def cables (core only has standard RCA's)
A months free XBox live gold
