X11

I read up about X11 and installed it since OenOffice required it on the mac. I have since changed to Neo Office. Can I uninstall X11 or is it used by other progs.
Also, I see the X11.app is 868kb on disk - updater informs me there is an update but its 51meg. What gives - can you peeps throw some light on this for me.

You can ditch the X11 unless you are running a program that that specifically needs it.
The need for X11 is the reason I use NeoOffice and not OpenOffice.
Even though it is quite powerful, its a bit like needing to run Hercules Graphics before you could load a cga/ega game on XT's.

I keep it simply because I'll never know when it is going to be needed - it pops up at the strangest of times. Same goes for the entire set of developers tools.
