I've got my music tagged 100% perfectly with embedded album art - and loaded into the library.

I've noticed that many of my album art is 300x300 and pixelates - so I added some high resolution 1200x1200 1MB art into the files and updated the library. Thing is it doesn't update from the pixelated art on the refresh. Tags change - but the art doesn't.

Is art maybe stored fully during the first scan?
Do I need to first clear the library fully and restart?

Use the context menu and specify coverart yourself manually.
This works with movies, not sure if it will work with music.

I'm sure there's a better way though, but this is one way to do it.

iirc all your images are stored in the xmbc folder, it should refresh if you delete that.

Thanks Keeper.

Still low resolution pictures, even though I have spent time hard tagging the actual file with high res images :( I have ticked 'Enable Tag Reading and 'Search for thumbs on remote shares' ... dunno if this is right?

Is Universal Scraper maybe overriding the hardtags with it's own low res from the net?

If it works the same as a Movie or TV library you have to delete the source but not files when asked.
Then add source once again and scan to library. Should be working.
