Hi,

I have been battling for 2 weeks to try and get the navigation and play/pause buttons on the K300 remote to work correctly within XBMC. I have tried the K300 remote with Windows 7 MCE and everything works as it should so the remote and the USB receiver works, drivers are correctly installed, etc.

I am running XBMC 10.1 and only fast forward, rewind, stop, volume up, volume down and the mute buttons work as they should from within XBMC.

I can start playing a movie using my mouse and then if I press play/pause the movie will pause, if I press play/pause again nothing happens, to start playing the movie again I have to use my mouse and clicking on play in the OSD.

I have posted a request on the XBMC forum but everything that has been suggested does not work. I have tried Showkey.exe and KeyMapedit.exe, still I cannot get a movie to start playing after it has been paused by using the K300 remote.

So if anyone can please assist me with their working copy of the XBMC keyboard.xml or a keymap.xml for the Compro K300 Remote, I would greatly appreciate it?

Thanks in advance...
Paul

I have the same receiver as you, but I ended up buying a universal remote (Logitech Harmony 300). You can basically map keyboard commands to remote buttons, which made everything a bit easier.

Failing that, try a program called Eventghost. It will allow you to map any remote buttons as you see fit. You will even be able to use (as an example) your dvd player remote to control xbmc.

Hi Nuro,

Thanks for the reply, I have tried Eventghost but did not know which input plugin to use, so I un-installed it. Is there any chance you can give me a step by step simple guide on what to do with Eventghost to use it with the K300 and XBMC? I am willing to try anything.

Thanks in advance
Paul
