XBMC and VPN's....

Hello all. Would appreciate some clarity.

Just managed to arrange an ATV2. So started looking closely at XBMC again. Wow. Things have moved on in a year. Icefilms still there. 1Channel. And then iStream. Wow.

So all this streaming awesomeness has me wondering about forking out for a decent VPN. Would that be advisable? Bit concerned about the effect on my already sub-par TI 4mb uncapped line - but would rather be safe than sorry, if that's the wiser thing to do.

I see no possible reason why you would even consider a VPN, to do what with?

I don't think you need to fake location for those services. My line is also a sub-par 4mb so streaming isn't an option for me. I looked at using unotelly for Netflix, Hulu, etc but doesn't work well.

On a more serious note - I guess the thought of streaming millions of livefeeds from outside the country, presumably contrary to user-agreements somewhere with someone/thing, had me wondering if it wouldn't be wiser to do it more "anonymously"...
