XBMC - SSD for thumbnails ?

My movie thumbnails and fanart load extremely slow - so if I scroll past the first few 'A's there is nothing but the text loaded for a while and then each pops up.

I'm thinking this may have to do with the read/write speed of the 250GB they give you - does anyone know what it is? Would an SSD benefit the install at all?

I understand thumbs etc are all loaded locally so maybe ?

What version you running? The caching system changed after 11 and I experienced the same thumbnail issue as you, even with a SSD drive

I ended up going back to version 10 to get fast thumbnails back
