Go to the East Rand Flea Market...opp East Rand mall..there is a shop there called Game-O-Dayr...I got a DVD remote control for my XBox 1 from there (turned it into a HTPC). The guy had loads of accessories for the original XBox...

I'd like to try find a power cable/adapter for an original xbox if anyone has one :-( I had the DVD rom drive replaced, hard drive and chipped to get XBMC working, then pop the power supply popped.

You mean the internal PSU (power supply)? I can source one for you, just drop a PM.

I think it's the external one, but I'd have to check, I packed it away about 9 months ago without any hope of ever getting it fixed again :-(

The original Xbox only has a internal PSU and a power cord that plugs into it. The internal power supply is known to give up the ghost after a few years. Xbox 1 is pretty much obsolete so only do repairs on a mail-in basis (ship/bring in the faulty unit -- diagnose the fault and then order the spare(s) needed).

I do sell spares for those with legacy consoles though ...

ok, so i got the component cable from Wantitall, works great!

Would anybody happen to know where i might find a shell for the old xbox, i seem to have lost mine, long story.
