XBOX 360 16:10 support?

I think this might have been asked before, but cant find anything on the net thats current on the topic ... has the console been updated to support 16:10 resolutions ... i want to hook an xbox360 to my Samsung T260 via HDMI

Well, in a sense it does. It displays a 16:9 image on a 16:10 screen by placing 2 black bars on the top and bottom. Thus giving you a 16:10 support, albeit that only 16:9 is visible, if that makes sense lol.

You probably wouldn't notice the difference unless you knew the aspect ratios didn't match. If you look at a circular object you can see that it is stretched a bit, but otherwise it is hardly noticeable.

not true. the two black bars on the top and bottom of the screen creates a perfect 16:9 ratio.

On my old T260 Xbox360 looked hideous, it was stretched with no black bars. Didn't play with any settings though just switched back to using the bravia.
