Looking at picking one up next week (for son's xmas present) as I will be using it as well, is the Arcade version able to connect online? Also what are the main differences, other than it does not come with the HDD unit?

Thanks in advance,

EchoZA

Quick and simple differences

1. Does not come with HDD (R800-R1000 add on)
2. Does not come with headset
3. Has a white tray and not a silver one
4.....

That's it...
The Arcade does come with a memory unit for saving, it can go online (but you will soon run out of space if you want to download games), it comes with different games to the Premium bundle and it has the latest hardware which makes it quieter and more reliable.

If you are planning on playing a lot of onlilne games then rather go for the premium, if you are not sure then spend the extra cash on games and buy the HDD if you ever need it.

The hard drive is only really needed for MMOs and if you plan on downloading demos etc. from Xbox Live. At the moment there are only two MMOs that have been released on the 360 so it's not train smash not having a hard drive right now, however as mentioned if you want to try out demos then you will definitely need the hard drive.

The games that come with the console are quite addictive and the entire package is well worth it in my opinion.
