Saw this this morning and it looks pretty cool. MN mentioned in the comments that it's an early build so I suspect the long (ish) loading time for the different customization options will be considerably less when this update gets released.

Actually according to Rare, Avatars were in development before the Wii was announced. I mean look at MSN/Live Messenger, there have been Meegos' etc for eons. The whole concept isn't new.

even the motion sensing controller has been used by ms since it's sidewinder days but according to most droids the ps3 is the first console with motion sensors and vibration combined in a controller !

The avatar video looks awesome though !
