Hi Guys

I am unable to play COD Black Ops online due to the fact that my NAT setting is on moderate. I connect to Xbox Live with a Huawei E220 3G modem via my laptop. I browsed the forums but I cannot find a solution for my exact problem. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Note: I am able to play BFBC2 and Medal of Honor online.

Many Thanks

On which operator are you? If its vodacom you can call them and ask for an unrestricted APN. Worked for me.

Consider ADSL. Much better for gaming.

Thanks for the advice. I must run my data contract out first before I get ADSL.

Change APN settings as stated above. Fixes issue

I saw a trick on Youtube which sorts out the issue. Start the game, go to multiplayer, let it search for a lobby/game, when you get the error message that your NAT is set to moderate exit the game, go to network settings, test the connection, once that is done launch the game again, go to multiplayer, search for a lobby/game and viola, NAT is set to "open". Dont know how it works, but it works.
