U need the Xbox wireless reciever for the controller to sync up with the pc to work ! the only thing the play and charge kit does is charge the battery it does not add any wired functionality to the control to make it act like a normal wired one. seems take 2 is out of stock http://www.take2.co.za/games-official-xbox-360-wireless-gaming-receiver-for-windows-2368176.html. Try Incredible connection I bought mine there bout a year and a half ago and paid R249
