Hey, forum.
Simple question. Is the Xbox 360 DVD-regionless? I have ordered a DVD from the US and was wondering if it'll play on my Xbox. Note that my Xbox has been modded (firmware flash). Alternatively, are PC's DVD drives regionless and are there any programs that'll help. Thank you so much, any input would be much appreciated.

No.

They're often not region free, but some makes can be made so. Otherwise AnyDvd works with most drives. There are some exceptions, but you should be able to get that information from the web site.

As stated above, what you can do is use AnyDVD and rip the DVD to harddrive (as DVD9 or DVD5 size iso) then burn it to a blank DVD. This will play on your 360.

I've personally never had an issue with DVD playback on my Xbox 360.

It plays PAL (Region 2/4) and NTSC (Region 1) just fine. I think other regions might be an issue such as the dodgy DVDs from the Far East
