Xbox 360 flashing in PMB

Hi does anyone know where I can get my xbox 360 flashed to play backups in pietermaritzburg.
 
Doing it yourself is way better. The people doing this for money is laughing all the way to whatever. It's a 15 minute job. 70% of that is to open and close up the console.

Except if its a LiteOn v2 drive. Then soldering and probe is needed. Then I would rather send it off.

LiteOn v1 is is quite easy

BenQ drives are THE easiest to flash. Its a matter of 3 clicks in jungleflasher and you are done.

i just ordered my kit to flash my Liteon 94350. a Ck3 lite and a Xecuter LT Clip and LT Switch v2, the v2 switch cost 3 times mote than v1.5, but you don't have to solder. Its not that expensive. Also, the probe can be used more than once- assume this lt switch as well, just have to fix trace cuts with solder or conductive glue. They're really just needed to get you're drive into vendor mode so you cn get you're drives key. After you got the key, the switches are useless.

if you want the probe and a ck3 and conductive glue- which will last about 20 xbox flashes, you will pay about R500, incl shipping.

You can always pm "HerZeLeiD", through a few previous post made by him, you can tell he has experience in the flashing business.

I'm about to flash my old 60GB Xbox with a LiteOn drive when the new firmware comes out. Could you please give me the link to where you got your probe?

Its a 15 min job if you know what your doing. The problem is if you stuff it up and dont save the keys properly you will end up with a dead xbox.

You can build one yourself if you have some basic electronic skills. Its fairly easy to do. Otherwise it will be cheaper to get someone to do it than to buy the tool. It's already flashed and you are upgrading then you don't need the tool.

you can use this method if you dont want to spend money on a probe http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=698256

but since its a liteon drive, you cant use the xbox as a power source as that will increase your chances of getting banned, unless you dont care, so you need a ck3. a lot of people will now say- flashing your console will result in a instant ban and its inevitable, but if you just follow what people are saying and keep your firmware updated like most of the smart people, you will also last longer than a year.

But, then again, im not flashing to pirate games, i just like to mod stuff and play around with it.
 
Go to your local computer shop, they most likely can point you in the right direction. Don't do it yourself, rather pay the couple hundred and know that it works.

the problem with that is, when you need to update the firmware again, you wont be able to. I just think if you want to flash your xbox, then do it yourself.

Yes you will - you will only need the CK for the first flash. Once the firmware has been flashed you only need a pc with a sata port and a specific chipaset.

you use the ck to power the drive. you only need the probe or lt switch or boxdr once.
 
hmm. i wonder how these AP25 checks work on old hitachi drives. seems like its only the liteon drives thats able to probe for modded firmware with the new dash update? it seems like if you update your firmware to iXtreme LT (from stock) now, you'll have to update very soon to LT+.
