XBox 360 freezes after an update ...

Jut performed and update yesterday as it requested, now after 10min of play it froze.. then after switching off and on continue freezing at start-up/power up ...Is my HD messed up?

How old is your machine?

Try running it without the HDD and see if the freezing continues.

Could be some imminent hardware failure but hard to tell from just what you've already stated!

year old... will try a when am back @home ... It could be some incomplete files from download causing the freeze ... I will try to locate them and delete if so

Didn't check, Xbox ask me to download update and i just confirmed ...

Edit: Oh! I was playing FIFA09, so it could have been related to FIFA ...

i think hardware failure mixed with bad timing.
