Xbox 360 games import tax

I'd just like to know if there are any kind of import tax duties on xbox 360 games? Also will games from the US work on our xbox 360s in SA? or should i look to order from Europe.
 
Order from the UK, they have PAL games same as SA. Most games from the US dont work on our consoles except the region free ones

just checking around, every bit of saving counts cause I'm a student. :P
 
With PS2 games I mostly saved buying US games and used games from the UK. Had to have the region coding defect fixed first though.
 
There is a local Xbox 360 community site. They had a trading section.
 
Hifi Corp doing the Premium for about R3500.

At least then when ... yes when your xbox breaks you can at least swap it out locally :)
 
Try www.DVDCrave.com they usually have some titles sooner than SA and the region free ones are really cheaper than SA titles including shipping. Plus it usually takes 7-9 days to arrive & no customs tax on it.

Got myself Flatout & Shadowrun from them at approx. R400 each.

Some games are region free but generally it is risky to order from anywhere except local or the EU.... Just in case you get a NTSC game.

Also don't even think about chipping the xbox to play NTSC games you will void your warranty and with rumours of a 30% failure rate that would be insane...

I also find most games are actually cheaper here..... just shop around..

Most of my games I have bought 2nd hand. As long as they are in good nick you won't go wrong.

Got C&C for R300 delivered
Brian Lara for R290 delivered
Forza 2 for R385 delivered
